About Us

Shailer Road Kindergarten was opened by his excellency, the honourable Walter Campbell, A.C., Q.C., governor of Queensland in 1991.

Our centre consists of two classrooms which operates four kindergarten and pre-kindergarten classes catering for children aged from three up to five years.

Our service is an affiliate centre with C&K (formally known as the Crèche and Kindergarten Association) which acts as the Central Governing Body.

Founded in 1907, C&K is proud to be the largest and longest established provider of community based early childhood education and childcare services in Queensland.

C&K provides us with Kindergarten Advisors, each specialising in a particular field, who visit C&K centres to provide advice, support and mentoring for staff, families and children.  Few early childhood services in Queensland have such a resource readily available to them – your child will benefit directly from the quality education support provided by C&K.

Shailer Road Community Kindergarten is licensed by the Office of Early Childhood, Education and Care under the Child Care Act 2002 and Child Care Regulation 2003. The Kindergarten complies with the Act and Regulation which includes requirements about activities, experiences and programs, classroom staffing and enrolment numbers, and staff qualifications.
