Management Committee

  • Management Committee

    A Management Committee, representing you, the members of our Association, is responsible for the decision making for the Centre. This reflects the C&K philosophy that kindergartens are community based and must serve the particular needs of their local community. All parents who have children enrolled at our kindergarten for 2016 are ‘members’ of our Association. At the AGM the members elected a number of parents to represent their interest.

    The elected representatives form a Management Committee which takes responsibility for all facets of management and holds all voting rights. This has been likened to running a small business. However, the prime concern of the Management Committee is not profit, but to ensure standards which will allow optimum growth and development of your children.

    The Management Committee;

     Sets down management policies and guidelines

     Employs staff

     Ensures that staff are informed of management guidelines and policies

     Holds monthly meetings to receive reports and conduct business

     Considers ideas or concerns brought forward by staff or parents

     Reviews the physical state of the building, grounds and equipment so that standards are maintained

     Establishes an equipment budget

     Manages the Kindergarten finances.

    Members of the management committee require a (Working with Children) Blue Card. We are legally obligated to inform you that it is an offence for a disqualified person to sign a blue card application form.
